Xero consolidation

Consolidating Xero organisations.

Xero doesn't consolidate across organisations, and has said it isn't planning to. Here's Xero's own position, what Xero Analytics and Ultra do and don't do, and the options that are left.

As of October 2026, from each vendor's public pages

Xero's position

Xero's own products

What Xero Analytics and Ultra do, and don't.

Xero Analytics

Built on Syft. No consolidation.

  • Xero bought Syft Analytics in 2024. Xero Analytics, built on Syft, went live in January 2026.
  • It brings Syft-style reporting inside Xero, one organisation at a time.
  • It doesn't consolidate across organisations.

Xero Ultra · Australia only

Consolidation for 5 entities.

  • Xero Ultra bundles Syft with consolidation for up to 5 entities.
  • It's available in Australia only.
  • If you're in Australia with 5 entities or fewer, all on Xero, Ultra may be the simplest route. It's worth checking before you buy anything else, including Halfkit.

Your options

Three ways to get a consolidated view.

The steps are the same whichever you pick: our step-by-step guide walks through them.

Spreadsheets

Export each organisation's P&L and balance sheet, add them up, and post eliminations and currency translation by hand.

Good for
Two or three companies, one currency, a few intercompany balances. Costs nothing extra.
Watch out for
Re-exporting every month, rates typed by hand, and eliminations that quietly stop matching.

Xero Ultra

Xero's own plan with Syft consolidation included, for up to 5 entities.

Good for
Australian groups of up to 5 entities, all on Xero.
Watch out for
Australia only, and capped at 5 entities.

An add-on

A consolidation app that connects to each Xero organisation. Halfkit is one; here's how others compare:

Good for
More companies, more currencies, monthly reporting without rebuilding a spreadsheet.
Watch out for
Per-company or per-entity pricing that adds up. Check which ledgers and currencies each supports.

How Halfkit does it

Several Xero organisations, one report.

Halfkit reads each organisation through Xero's API and keeps the consolidation outside your books.

  1. 01

    Connect

Sign in to Xero once and approve several organisations; each one is connected. Add QuickBooks Online, Zoho Books or TallyPrime companies to the same group if you have them.

  2. 02

    Group

Name the holding company, add subsidiaries and set the share owned. Non-controlling interests are split out automatically.

  3. 03

    Map and eliminate

Accept suggested shared lines for similar accounts, and suggested intercompany pairs. One click eliminates every side.

  4. 04

    Report

Consolidated P&L and balance sheet with a column per company, eliminations and the total; aging; a monthly board pack by email.
